McLaren W1. A New King Takes the Throne in Woking
Following the stunning McLaren P1, the British brand needed to reaffirm its dominance in the supercar industry with a car that would leave everyone speechless, and it succeeded with the imposing W1. This new model, heir to the prestigious “1” designation once worn by the legendary McLaren F1 and P1, stands as a worthy successor. Developed by the same team of engineers behind McLaren’s Formula 1 cars, the W1 combines the latest in design, technology, and performance. With a staggering 1,258 horsepower, it’s the most powerful production McLaren ever made.
Its design is a spectacle in itself. The upper section features sleek, aerodynamic lines, while the lower part takes a more aggressive approach, inspired by Formula 1 technology. Its ultralight structure, built with a new monocoque chassis called Aerocell, is mostly carbon fiber, resulting in a dry weight of just 1,399 kg. Every detail has been crafted to maximize aerodynamic efficiency: large air intakes in the hood, headlights, and wheel arches optimize airflow. The innovative McLaren Active Long Tail rear spoiler extends up to 30 cm at high speeds, acting as both DRS and air brake, transforming the W1’s rear into a true Formula 1 diffuser, ensuring optimal control at high speeds. The model also debuts new Anhedral doors, which open in a gull-wing style to improve both aerodynamics and engine cooling.
Equipped with a plug-in hybrid propulsion system, the W1 combines a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft and a radial-flow electric motor, generating a combined 1,275 horsepower and 1,340 Nm of torque. This massive power is delivered exclusively to the rear axle via an eight-speed automatic transmission and a hydraulic electronic differential, ensuring precise handling and breathtaking acceleration.
It offers different driving modes: electric, comfort, sport, and race, each with distinct suspension stiffness and steering response levels. In Race mode, the car’s height lowers by 37 mm at the front and 17 mm at the rear, deploying front and rear active spoilers that provide up to 1,000 kg of downforce at 280 km/h.
The McLaren W1 is a model of extreme exclusivity: only 399 units will be produced, all pre-sold before its release. With a base price around 2.39 million euros, this is just the starting point, as each buyer can personalize their W1 with an almost limitless list of options.
Ferrari F80. The Fastest Prancing Horse in History
The Ferrari F80, inspired by top-tier racing engineering, is the fastest and most technologically advanced road model ever built by Ferrari. This supercar is the sixth in the historic line that began with the 288 GTO in 1984 and peaked with the LaFerrari in 2013. Each model in this exclusive series has been designed to showcase Ferrari’s highest performance, drawing from the Formula 1 technology of its time.
The F80 name celebrates Ferrari’s 80th anniversary, bringing together the best technology from Le Mans and Formula 1. Unlike its V12-powered predecessors, the Enzo and LaFerrari, the F80 adopts a plug-in hybrid system with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, reaching 9,200 rpm and producing 888 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque on its own. Additionally, three electric motors—two on the front axle for torque vectoring and one between the engine and eight-speed automatic transmission—add another 296 horsepower, reaching a colossal total of 1,184 horsepower. With this setup, the F80 becomes the first flagship Ferrari with all-wheel drive.
This advanced system allows the F80 to reach 100 km/h in just 2.15 seconds, surpassing its direct rival, the McLaren W1, by over half a second, and achieving a top speed of 350 km/h, on par with both the McLaren W1 and LaFerrari.
Though it weighs 1,525 kg dry—270 kg more than the LaFerrari—the F80 uses advanced aerodynamics to maximize performance. Equipped with a large active rear spoiler and sophisticated aerodynamic elements, it generates a maximum downforce of 1,050 kg at 250 km/h, surpassing the Porsche 992 GT3 RS by 190 kg. This downforce is achieved with a 1.5-meter deep diffuser, NACA ducts behind the doors, and an S-duct at the front.
Its carbon fiber body, lower, wider, and longer than that of the LaFerrari, recalls Ferrari’s historical models, with influences from the SP3 Daytona, the 12Cilindri, and icons like the F40. The front visor of the 12 Cilindri, which conceals the headlights, has been adapted for the F80, while its teardrop-shaped cabin and the flat panel behind the front wheel evoke the F40’s style. The rear engine vents pay homage to classic designs, with six grilles symbolizing the engine’s six cylinders. From a rear diagonal view, clear similarities to the SP3 Daytona emerge, such as the short tail, bulging rear quarters, and broad rear platform.
With a base price of 3.6 million euros, all 799 planned units have been sold before production begins.
Aston Martin Vanquish. The Return of a Legend
Aston Martin has unveiled the third generation of the Vanquish, a flagship model within its GT lineup, set to replace the recently retired DBS. This new Vanquish sits above the DB12 and Vantage in terms of luxury, power, and price, and although it shares some design elements with its predecessors, it’s a completely new car. Unlike the current industry trend towards electrification, Aston Martin has taken a purist approach. The 2025 Vanquish has no hybrid assistance, dual-clutch transmission, rear-axle steering, or electric turbochargers.
The great innovation of the 2025 Vanquish lies under its hood, where we find a 5.2-liter Twin-Turbo V12 engine capable of producing 835 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful front-mid-engine model in Aston Martin’s history. The cylinder block and rods have been reinforced to support the greater demands of this engine, while the heads, camshafts, and low-inertia turbochargers have been redesigned. The new Boost Reserve system offers more immediate power response, allowing the Vanquish to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reach an incredible top speed of 345 km/h. This power is managed through an advanced electronic differential, integrated with the stability control system, optimizing traction and dynamic performance. Additionally, the suspension has been enhanced with adaptive Bilstein DTX shock absorbers and reinforced stabilizer bars, achieving an ideal balance between on-road comfort and sporty performance in GT, Sport, and Sport+ driving modes.
In terms of body design, it retains Aston Martin’s iconic traits, such as its signature grille, elongated hood, and low roofline that extends to a voluptuous rear. Among the notable updates, the grille is wider than that of the DB12, while the headlights, which feature Matrix LED technology, stretch toward the front fenders. A significant detail is the panoramic roof, blending with the windshield and rear window into a single piece. The rear sports a Kamm tail that integrates the spoiler into the trunk lid.
Aston Martin plans to produce up to 1,000 units per year, with a base price slightly above 400,000 euros.
Lamborghini Temerario. The Start of a New Era
With the arrival of the Lamborghini Temerario, the brand from Bologna closes the chapter on one of its most iconic models, the Huracan, and ushers in a new generation marked by hybrid power.
As its direct successor, the Temerario incorporates a new hybrid propulsion system that combines an impressive 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, capable of generating 800 horsepower between 9,000 and 9,750 rpm, with three electric motors. One of these motors is positioned between the V8 and the transmission, allowing it to reach up to 10,000 rpm, while the other two are situated on the front axle, providing all-wheel drive and bringing the combined output to 920 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque. This hybrid system is complemented by an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 3.8 kWh battery, which supports charging of up to 7 kW, achieving a full charge in just 30 minutes.
In terms of performance, the Temerario surpasses any version of the Huracan in both top speed and acceleration, reaching 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and achieving a top speed of 340 km/h.
In design, the Temerario preserves the unmistakable DNA of Sant’Agata Bolognese, standing out with a refreshed aesthetic that respects the essence of Lamborghini. Its body presents a new visual identity, featuring hexagonal daytime running lights that reinterpret one of the brand’s distinctive geometric elements in a futuristic style. Additionally, the exposed engine is framed by a newly designed spoiler, playing a crucial role in aerodynamic efficiency.
In terms of size, the Temerario is larger and more robust than the Huracan: it measures 4.70 meters in length compared to its predecessor’s 4.56 meters and has a curb weight of 1,690 kg, surpassing the Huracán Tecnica’s 1,379 kg.
Thus, the Lamborghini Temerario joins the Lamborghini Revuelto and the Lamborghini Urus SE in Lamborghini’s high-performance electric vehicle (HPEV) lineup, completing the hybridization of the brand’s entire range. Its base price will be 320,369 euros, excluding additional equipment or customization options.
Ferrari 12 Cilindri. A Tribute to the Past
There is no more emblematic engine at Ferrari than the naturally aspirated front-mounted V12. Enzo Ferrari had a genuine devotion to this engine, the same one he chose for the first Ferrari in history: the Ferrari 125 S. In his later years, he stated, “The 12-cylinder will always be the original Ferrari. Everything else is a derivation.”
The new Ferrari 12Cilindri is a clear nod to the past, both in its mechanics and design. It establishes itself as the front-engine flagship of the Prancing Horse, Ferrari’s preferred line for purists, replacing the 812 Superfast and F12 Berlinetta.
With clear inspiration from the Ferrari Gran Turismo models of the 1950s and 1960s, its design stands out for the elegance of its lines and, especially, for its body shape. An elongated hood, a pronounced waistline, and a voluptuous rear evoke the essence of the 250 and 275 models from that era. However, one Ferrari model in particular comes to mind when observing the 12Cilindri: the 1968 365GTB/4 Daytona, especially due to its front, which takes direct inspiration.
Nonetheless, the true highlight of this new model is not only its design but its impressive engine. In an era marked by electrification, Ferrari presents a car that dispenses with turbocharging and electric assistance. Equipped with a front-mounted 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12—the same engine that powered the limited edition 812 Competizione—this engine can reach 9,500 rpm and develops 830 horsepower at 9,250 rpm, with a maximum torque of 678 Nm. Complemented by an eight-speed dual-clutch F1 transmission that channels all its power to the rear wheels, the 12 Cilindri can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in less than 7.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of over 340 km/h.
It will be available in both coupe and convertible versions. The base price for the coupe model will start at approximately 395,000 euros, while the convertible version will have a starting price of 435,000 euros.
